Why we pay for a MacBook with a Mac that won't turn on
A dead MacBook is rarely worth zero — the screen, SSD, and casing often have real resale value. A logic board alone can be worth $80 to $300 depending on the model; a good screen, $100 to $250. We refurbish or harvest every machine, so a "dead" Mac to you is working inventory to us. That's why we can pay when Apple's trade-in quote says zero.
How the quote works
Send a couple of photos or bring it in. Tell us the model and what happened. We quote off the recoverable parts — no vague "we'll see when it arrives" games. If you accept, you get paid the same day for local drops in Marion (28 minutes from Delaware), or we send a prepaid label and pay on receipt.
Delaware pickup and payment
Halfway to Columbus without Columbus prices. Cash, Venmo, or PayPal — your choice. Rick has been buying broken Apple gear since 1991; bring the charger if you have it (it adds a little to the quote). Text photos to (740) 223-5530 to start.
