What Can You Do With a Broken MacBook?

A broken MacBook has three good options: sell it for parts (the logic board, screen, and SSD often have real resale value — it's rarely worth zero), trade it toward a refurbished working Mac for credit, or recycle it responsibly. Apple's trade-in usually offers $0; a parts buyer like us actually pays.

Option 1 — sell it for parts

This is almost always the best-value option. Even a Mac that won't turn on has salvageable components: the logic board ($80–$300), the screen ($100–$250), the SSD, the battery, the chassis, the trackpad. We quote off those working parts, which is why we pay when Apple says zero. Text a photo to (740) 223-5530.

Option 2 — trade it toward a working Mac

Don't need the cash, need a replacement? We apply the parts value of your broken Mac as credit toward a Luxury Certified refurbished one. You walk out with a working, warrantied machine and the dead one stops gathering dust in a drawer.

Option 3 — recycle it responsibly

If it truly has no value, don't landfill it — Macs contain recoverable metals and shouldn't go in the trash. We'll take it for responsible recycling. But check option 1 first: "broken" to you is often "worth real money" to a refurbisher.
