Salem sits in the rolling farm country of northern Columbiana County — a historic Quaker town of about 12,000 people with brick storefronts along East State Street, a proud abolitionist past, Salem Regional Medical Center, and the Kent State Salem campus just south of town. What Salem does not have is an Apple Store anywhere close. The nearest one is Summit Mall in Fairlawn on the far side of Akron, roughly 45 miles and close to an hour of driving each way — and Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh is even farther the other direction. LuxuriousComputers in Marion, OH carries refurbished MacBooks at 25–40% off Apple's new pricing, ships free to Salem on every order, and backs every machine with a 1-year whole-machine warranty. No Genius Bar appointment, no full-retail sticker shock, no wasted Saturday on Route 62.

Why Salem residents choose us over Apple refurb
Discontinued models, still excellent
Apple's refurb store only sells what it currently carries. We stock older M-series MacBooks that are still fantastic machines — often at the lowest prices between Akron and Pittsburgh.
We take broken devices in trade
Apple rejects cracked, dead, and liquid-damaged Macs. We buy them for parts value and apply the credit to your new MacBook — even a dead M1 Air is worth $40–$75.
Whole-machine warranty
If anything fails on its own in year one, we make it right — no shipping yours away for a 3-week repair. The warranty covers the whole machine, and it is honored directly by us.
A real person, not a phone tree
Call (740) 223-5530 and Rick usually picks up. He has been doing this since 1991. You get advice from someone who actually knows the hardware, not a script.
What Salem buyers are picking up
Salem is a town that works — nurses and staff at Salem Regional Medical Center, students knocking out prerequisites at Kent State Salem, manufacturing offices at employers like Fresh Mark and Butech Bliss, small shops along the State Street historic district, and a growing crowd of remote workers who like Columbiana County prices with Youngstown and Canton both within commuting range. Most Salem customers ordering from us grab a MacBook Air — the M1 at $569.99 for everyday use (email, browsing, charting from home, coursework) or the M2 at $974.99 for heavier workflows like photo editing or running a small business. Anyone doing serious creative or professional work leans toward the MacBook Pro 14-inch for the bigger screen and extra power.
Here are the models Salem buyers order most:
- MacBook Air 13" M1 — $569.99 — Best value for students, remote workers, and everyday use. 15-hour battery, fanless, 2.8 lbs. View →

Have a MacBook sitting in a drawer in Salem? Bring it back to life — or at least get paid for it.
