Why Akron residents choose us over Apple refurb
Discontinued models, still excellent
Apple’s refurb store only sells what it currently carries. We stock older M-series MacBooks that are still fantastic machines — often at the lowest prices available to Akron buyers.
We take broken devices in trade
Apple rejects cracked, dead, and liquid-damaged Macs. We buy them for parts value and apply the credit to your new MacBook — even a dead M1 Air is worth $40–$75.
Whole-machine warranty
If anything fails on its own in year one, we make it right — no shipping yours away for a 3-week repair. The warranty covers the whole machine, and it’s honored directly by us.
A real person, not a phone tree
Call (740) 223-5530 and Rick usually picks up. He’s been doing this since 1991. You get advice from someone who actually knows the hardware, not a script.
Akron students and faculty save more
The University of Akron has over 14,000 students — many of whom need a reliable MacBook for coursework, research, and design projects. A refurbished MacBook Air M1 or M2 handles everything a college student needs at a fraction of the new price. Pair it with Affirm financing and you’re looking at under $25/month for a machine that lasts four years of college.
We also see a lot of trade-ins from students upgrading between semesters. Ship us your old MacBook from Akron and apply the credit toward a newer model — no appointment, no trip to the mall.
Trade in your broken or old Mac
Ship us your old MacBook from Akron and knock the credit straight off a newer one. We pay for working Macs (usually within 10% of Apple’s own trade-in value) and — unlike Apple — we also pay for broken ones: cracked screens earn $140–$220, dead Macs $40–$75, priced from real parts value. It all becomes credit toward your next machine.

A Luxury Certified refurbished MacBook goes through a full inspection, professional cleaning, and battery health check. Each one is iCloud-cleared and reset to factory settings before shipping.
