Mentor is the biggest city in Lake County — roughly 47,000 people along the Route 20 / Mentor Avenue corridor — and it is home to the Great Lakes Mall, the county’s main retail hub. Here is the thing though: you can walk every wing of that mall and you will not find an Apple Store. There is no Apple Store in Mentor, and no Apple Store anywhere in Lake County.
No Apple Store in Mentor — or anywhere in Lake County
The nearest Apple Store to Mentor is at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst, a solid 25-minute run down I-90 and I-271 when traffic behaves. That is a 50-minute round trip for a Genius Bar appointment or to look at a laptop you could have shipped to your door. For a city anchored by the Great Lakes Mall retail corridor, it is a strange gap — and it is exactly the gap we fill.
We are LuxuriousComputers, an Ohio-based refurbished Apple dealer in Marion. Every Mac we sell ships free anywhere in Ohio, arrives in 2-5 business days, and carries a 1-year whole-machine warranty — not a 90-day parts warranty, the whole computer for a full year.
Why Mentor residents choose us over Apple refurb
- 25-40% below Apple pricing. Apple’s certified refurb store discounts about 15%. Our M1 MacBook Air starts at $569.99 — less than half of what a new Air costs.
- 1-year warranty on everything. Same coverage window Apple gives, from a shop where a real person answers the phone: (740) 223-5530.
- We buy broken Macs. Cracked screen, dead battery, liquid spill — get a trade-in quote and put it toward your next machine.
- No mall trip required. Order online, it lands on your porch in Mentor. If something goes wrong, you ship it back to Marion — not Lyndhurst.
What Mentor buyers are picking up
Mentor’s economy is a mix that maps neatly onto our best sellers. STERIS — the medical-technology company headquartered right in Mentor — plus Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital on the east end mean a lot of healthcare and office workers; Mentor High School and Mentor Public Schools (one of the largest districts in Ohio) mean teachers and students; and I-90 / Route 2 commuters into Cleveland mean remote-work setups.
- MacBook Air M1 — $569.99. The default recommendation for students and everyday use. See our college guide.
- MacBook Air M2 — $974.99. Thinner, brighter screen, the pick for nurses charting from home and teachers running Google Classroom.
- MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro — $899.99. For the remote workers and anyone pushing video, CAD, or big spreadsheets.
- Mac mini M2 — $897.99. Desktop power for a home office off Mentor Avenue — bring your own monitor.
Trade in your broken or old Mac
That MacBook in the closet with the cracked hinge or the battery that quit? We buy those. Our trade-in program works entirely by mail: tell us what is wrong, we quote it, you ship it free, and the value comes off your order. Liquid damage, dead logic boards, smashed screens — we quote them all.
Serving Mentor and Lake County
From the Headlands Beach State Park end of town — Ohio’s largest natural beach — past Mentor Marsh and the James A. Garfield National Historic Site on Mentor Avenue, down to the Great Lakes Mall: if the mail runs there, we ship there, free. We cover all of Lake County and the neighboring lakeshore communities, including Euclid and Ashtabula, plus Parma and Akron further inland. See all our Ohio service areas.
Frequently asked questions
How fast is shipping to Mentor?
2-5 business days via insured carrier, free on every Mac. Most northeast-Ohio orders arrive in 2-3 days.
What does the 1-year warranty cover?
The whole machine — screen, battery, logic board, keyboard, ports. If it fails in normal use within a year, we repair or replace it.
Is a refurbished MacBook reliable?
Every unit is tested, wiped, and restored before sale, and the 1-year warranty means we stand behind that work longer than most sellers on eBay or Facebook Marketplace will.
Can I see the machine before buying?
We are an online shop based in Marion, Ohio — that is how we keep prices 25-40% under Apple. Every listing shows the actual unit’s condition, and you have our phone and email for questions before you order.
