Let's be honest about something most "buy local" pages won't say: Westlake is the one west-side suburb where the Apple Store actually lives. It's at Crocker Park, right off Main Street, and it's a lovely store. This page isn't going to pretend it's far away. It's going to show you the price tags side by side — because that's the part the Genius Bar doesn't put on a poster.
The Apple Store is five minutes away. That's exactly why you should read this.
Walk into the Apple Store at Crocker Park today and the least expensive new MacBook Air starts at $1,250 before tax. It's a beautiful machine. But so is the M2 MacBook Air we ship to Westlake for $974.99 — same aluminum unibody, same Retina display class, same silent fanless design, and it still gets years of macOS updates. If your MacBook mostly runs Safari, Mail, Google Docs, and a dozen browser tabs (be honest — that's most of us), the $569.99 difference buys a lot of dinners in Crocker Park's restaurant row.
That's the whole pitch for buying refurbished in a city that has an Apple Store: it's not about the drive, it's about the math. 25–40% off Apple's pricing, a 1-year warranty from a real Ohio business, and free shipping to your door off Detroit Road, Center Ridge, or anywhere in the 44145.
Why Westlake buyers choose refurbished over the store down the street
Discontinued models, still excellent
Apple no longer sells the M1 MacBook Air new at any price — and it's still one of the best laptops ever made for everyday work. We sell it refurbished for $569.99. The M2 Air at $974.99 and the Mac mini M2 at $897.99 are the same story: models Apple has moved past that have years of useful life left. The Apple Store can only sell you this year's lineup. We can sell you the smart one.
We take broken devices in trade
Cracked screen from a coffee-shop drop on Crocker Road? Water damage? A MacBook that won't turn on? We buy broken Macs and put the credit toward your next one. Apple's trade-in program tends to offer $0 the moment something is genuinely broken — ours is built for exactly that machine.
A 1-year warranty honored by a real person
Every Mac we sell comes with a full 1-year warranty. If something goes wrong, you email or call and a human in Marion, Ohio fixes it — no appointment queue, no "have you tried erasing it?" script. Check our FAQ for the fine print (spoiler: there isn't much).
What Westlake buyers are picking up
- MacBook Air M1 — $569.99. The family workhorse. Homework for Westlake City Schools students, recipes in the kitchen, a Demons game schedule always open in a tab. Less than half the price of the cheapest new Air at Crocker Park.
- MacBook Air M2 — $974.99. The hybrid-work favorite. If you're one of the thousands working at Hyland Software or Nordson on Clemens Road — or working from home half the week like everyone else on I-90 — this is the one. Our remote-work guide explains why.
- Mac mini M2 — $897.99. The home-office desk anchor. Add your own monitor and keyboard and you've got a silent, fast desktop for less than a new iPad.
- MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro — $899.99. For real work: video, design, code, giant spreadsheets. The creative teams at American Greetings' Crocker Park headquarters would feel right at home on this machine.
Nurses and staff at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center: your charting happens on hospital hardware, but for CEUs, scheduling apps, and everything at home, our nurses' guide maps the right pick. Teachers at Westlake City Schools — from Dover Intermediate to Westlake High — the teachers' guide does the same for Google Classroom life. And if you've got a student heading to college (or camped out in a study room at Westlake Porter Public Library), start with the college guide.
Trade in your broken or old Mac
That old MacBook in the drawer — the one you replaced but never dealt with — is worth real money. Cracked, dead battery, liquid spill, won't charge: get a trade-in quote and put the value toward a newer machine. We pay for the machines Apple's trade-in calculator zeroes out.
Serving Westlake and Cleveland's West Shore
We ship free anywhere in Westlake — Crocker Park apartments, the neighborhoods off Hilliard and Bradley, Clague Park side streets, all of it — and to the neighbors too: Rocky River, North Olmsted, Avon, and Lakewood. See all our Ohio service areas.
