The village that picked its zip code for the schools
South Russell exists on purpose. The village incorporated in 1923 largely so its families could stay in the Chagrin Falls schools — a hundred years later, that same deliberateness shows up in everything from the 87 acres of Village Park to the way people here buy. Nobody in the 44022 makes a four-figure purchase without doing the math first.
So here is the math. The nearest Apple Store is at Eton Chagrin Boulevard in Woodmere — eight to ten miles up the road — and a brand-new MacBook Air starts at $1,250 there. A refurbished M1 MacBook Air from us is $569.99 and the M2 Air is $974.99, shipped free to your door with a full one-year whole-machine warranty. Same macOS, same daily experience, roughly half the money. That is the kind of arithmetic a town founded over a school district can appreciate.
Why South Russell buyers do the spec-for-dollar comparison
- Chagrin Falls schools set the bar. Chagrin Falls High School ranks among the very best in Ohio — top-three-caliber academics with an average ACT near 29. The classwork runs in browser portals, Google Docs, and Zoom, and an M-series Air handles all of it identically to a new machine.
- A longer warranty than the mall gives you. Apple's standard coverage is one year on a new Mac — and 90 days on most refurbished channels. Ours is a full one-year, whole-machine warranty on every unit, no questions asked.
- No trip up Chagrin Boulevard required. Order tonight and it arrives at your door, insured, with free shipping and no minimum order.
What South Russell buyers are picking up — current prices
- MacBook Air M1 13″ — $569.99. The best value in the lineup. Silent (no fan), all-day battery, perfect for anyone whose day lives in a browser.
- MacBook Air M2 13″ — $974.99. The one most people should buy: newer design, brighter screen, MagSafe charging, and years of macOS updates ahead of it.
- Mac mini M2 — $897.99. The home-office desk machine. Pair it with any monitor and keyboard and you have a fast, quiet workstation for a fraction of an iMac.
- MacBook Pro 14″ M1 Pro — $899.99. For photo and video work, big spreadsheets, and anyone who wants the Liquid Retina XDR screen and extra ports.
- MacBook Air M3 15″ — $1,280. The big-screen Air — the closest thing to a new-Mac experience on this list, still under Apple's 13-inch starting price.

Built for Chagrin Falls students, Village Park families, and home offices in the trees
Chagrin Falls students and teachers. The district's classwork lives in a browser, and the $569.99 M1 Air runs a browser flawlessly. Our guide for teachers and our best Mac for college rundown both land on the same answer: the Air, refurbished, with the difference kept for everything else senior year costs.
Remote workers in the 44022. A village of just under 4,000 with no commercial strip means a lot of workdays happen at home. Our remote-work guide makes the case that a Mac mini M2 at $897.99 plus the monitor you already own is the sharpest home-office setup on either side of the Chagrin River.
Families who keep things. This is a town of century homes and 87-acre parks, not a town of upgrade cycles. An M-series Mac gets years of macOS updates ahead of it — buy it once, refurbished, and let it run.
